Vulvar Disorders Description
This monograph is designed to enable obstetricians-gynecologists to:
  • Understand the pathophysiology and clinical approaches to the evaluation, management, and prevention of both frequently and infrequently recognized vulvovaginal disorders
  • Recognize and monitor risk factors for both the development of vulvar disorders and the exacerbation of underlying vulvar disease
  • Counsel patients on prevention strategies to decrease the risk of common vulvovaginal disorders
  • Screen and evaluate patients for common vulvar disorders and recognize less frequently diagnosed conditions
  • Recognize systemic conditions that can present as vulvar disorders
  • Treat patients with both uncomplicated and complicated vulvar disorders and make appropriate referrals when indicated
