Dyslipidemia Description

This monograph is designed to enable physicians to:

Understand the pathophysiology and clinical approaches for the prevention and management of dyslipidemia and coronary heart disease
Monitor risk factors for dyslipidemia and coronary heart disease and screen patients accordingly
Counsel patients with dyslipidemia and coronary heart disease about lifestyle factors that decrease risk
Recognize signs and symptoms of dyslipidemia and coronary heart disease
Evaluate patients who have dyslipidemia and coronary heart disease and initiate management
Treat patients with uncomplicated dyslipidemia and coronary heart disease and make appropriate referrals of more complicated cases

Self-assessment questions are included at the end of each monograph. 5 CME credits will be awarded per issue.
